Better Behaviour: Structured Support for a Behavioural Boost
Benefits of Better Behaviour
Better Behaviour Walks are for dogs who are lovely but a bit of a handful and need thorough, structured support from someone who understands what is driving their behaviour. This service is ideal for dogs with mild behavioural challenges, such as nervousness, mild reactivity to other dogs or people, or a general unease in new or busy environments. It will combine focused training with behavioural awareness to help your dog build confidence, develop coping skills, and enjoy their time outdoors.
Better Behaviour Walks will bring together the individual attention of a Solo Walk with additional planning and behavioural insights to ensure every walk is a positive experience. Routes are selected to avoid triggers and create an environment where your dog can learn readily, without getting overwhelmed. Our behavioural knowledge and careful observation will allow us to meet your dog where they're at, so we can work together from there. A Better Behaviour Walk will give your dog the time, patience, and tailored support they need to feel safe in the world and improve their interactions with it.
Our Better Behaviour Process
We start with a more in-depth meet & greet to discuss your dog’s needs, triggers, and history. We will plan your dog's walks with their behavioural goals and comfort level in mind, which will be revisited as we get to know each other . Walks may include training techniques to help your dog change the way they feel about triggers and how they react to them. These walks are always delivered at your dog’s pace, with their safety and wellbeing in mind.
Each Better Behaviour walk is approached with care, structure, and an understanding of your dog's behaviour to move towards calm, confident progress throughout their daily lives.
Is this right for my dog?
Better Behaviour Walks are perfect for dogs who need a little extra support—whether that’s building confidence, managing reactivity, or navigating the world after a tough start in life.
However, this service is not designed for dogs with complex behavioural challenges, such as aggression or extreme fear. In those cases, it’s best to work with a certified behaviourist to ensure safe progress. If you’re unsure, we would be happy to talk through your dog’s needs to see if this service is the right match.
